Food You Can Afford.

F.U.C.A (Food You Can Afford) is my response to a two-week campaigning brief that asked us to find an issue we were passionate about and activate an audience around the topic. The outcome had to be a set of slides for an Instagram post.

I chose to create a campaign pushing for affordable food at Chelsea and across UAL canteens. I wanted to choose a topic that had tangible impact on those around me and was of a scale that change could be made within the span of the project. Despite record-high university fees, every year the food prices increase.

The issue lies in outsourcing, leading to prices creeping up to £7 for a small, inadequate plate of food. These price rises are well above the rate of inflation, and the only thing they are feeding is the profit margins of shareholders.

I strongly believe education shouldn’t be an industry of profit.
It is a service to society.
